Take a journey with us as we venture through all corners of the Australian continent, where nothing is too far or too complex for us. Australia has come a long way since the early pioneers of transport. Camels were used to path the way across the Australian deserts. Those Afghan camel riders of the 1800's enabled us to enjoy rail routes and roads in an otherwise unthinkable journey.
These drivers were guided by the stars in the night sky, providing orientation and light. They must have glanced at those stars and thought 'There must be a better way!', other than riding the 'ships of the desert'.
Yes, there was a better way, through road and rail, which we now take for granted two centuries later.
But the 'blue star' that shines promised something special.
The success of those early pioneers was not the train, or the camels. It was the people.
